Huis De Pelikaan

A pearl of Baroque architecture hidden in the beautiful city of Ghent.

More than three centuries of history

De Pelikaan has known many forms: from two separate Renaissance houses, to a Baroque abode for the family Bellemans. For a short time it was home to a Carmelite nunnery, until the French army took the city. And in the twentieth century it saw the addition of three extra bays in Art-Déco style.

Undergoing restoration

For several years De Pelicaen has been undergoing restoration,
and we're eager to show all the work that's being done.
You can follow @depelicaen on Instagram for weekly updates.

More to come soon!

Check back some day :-)
